Southern Indian at Manjal

I hail from the beautiful country of Guyana located in South America. One of the things I remember most about my home country is the food. In addition to how blended the culture is. The country is often described as being like a melting pot and this includes the food. Afro and Indi' Guyanese make up most of the population. This has a huge influence on the food that is cooked, hence my love of Indian food. But I honestly have a love of all food honestly.

One of the spots I enjoy having Indian food from is Manjal. Similarly to other places I've gone to, the food is delicious and the prices are decent.

I would recommend trying the lunch special that they have available. You get to have a taste of various stews and sauces. Either way, you'll always have a takeaway plate to go. I do believe the establishment has two locations.

Don't forget to support the local restaurants in your neighborhood.

Brunch'n at Graze

If you're looking for food that is hearty/healthy, I got you! I have a few local food spots that I will frequent. When it comes to breakfast or brunch, "Graze Brunch Kitchen" is it. There is always a new item on the menu to try out. The ingredients are super fresh and everything is always tasty.  There is something for the coffee lovers too. Not certain if is seasonal, but their tirramasu latte was highly rated by hubby.  The restuarant itself is super cozy. It'sa smaller space, but they've utilized every sqt ft. It does not feel overcrowded in any way. Due to the large windows all around, the natural light makes it feel homey. If that's a word that I can use. My recommendation is getting there early or wait for the morning rush to settle. Even if you end up in a que, the wait is totally worth it.  I recommend the pancakes. I'm not sure if it's seasonal, but it has a hint of everything. That is the best way for me to describe it. Oh and lots of fluff! ...

Birthday Dinner at The View

My birthday month is SLOWLY LOADINGGGG. Usually, I don't really celebrate my birthday. For years, I can recall something always happening. The plans never fully planning and being unable to have my birthday celebration the way I want it. Be it getting sick, having to cancel plans, or guests flaking. When I celebrated my birthday in 2025, I found the PERFECT location.  "The View" restuarant exceeded my expectations. I was blown away by the ambiance and mostly the VIEW. Pun intended. Prior to our meal attending, I literally looked out the window for most of the time. Distracted by the breath taking views and what I was looking at. In addition to the views, literally, the food was even better. My favorite item for the night was their chocolate cake. Delicious and packed with flavor is an understatement. I would go back JUST to have this. I 10/10 would RECOMMEND, because my goodness.  I would say that the menu is a bit pricey, but so worth it. A great place for date night or ...

Thai Dinner Date & Faux Duck

How do you make faux duck taste like real food? You just do, I guess. This is what Wycoff Thai did. For the vegetarians, there are many option available for you. I kept asking the waitress if it was real meat.  This dood spot has a very cozy feel with beautiful large windows to look out of. A great spot for some authentic Thai. There isn't anything that I've gotten so far that hasn't been good. From the appetizers to the entrĂ©e. For dessert? Stick rice, duh! 10/10 recommend for good vibes and good food.
